Finger USB-there's USB everything now, Christmas trees, lights, games, mini fridges, but a USB finger? Well yes, it's true. A Finnish software developer called Jerry Jalava lost one of his fingers in a motorbike accident, and replaced it with a 2GB USB drive, that looks like a finger.
Mr Jalava got the idea from a joke made by one of the doctors treating him at the time, then went ahead and made it.
To use the USB device, he pulls back the nail, and can use it to store photos, movies, music and programmes. However to use this he doesn't need to hold his hand up to the computer to plug it in, it detaches from his hand.
Mr Jalava says he is already thinking about upgrading the USB finger device to include more memory and possibly wireless technology. You can visit his blog to keep updated about this: ProtoBlogr.net.
